Self Defense for Women – Is it quickly Becoming a Necessity for the Modern Women?
The topic of Self Defense for women does not usually come up until you see a women being victimized on TV or hear an alarming story from a girlfriend.
It’s not uncommon to hear about a normal ordinary women being assaulted by known and unknown attackers.
The fact is 1 in 4 women will be violently attacked in their lifetime. The shame is for no good reason and in most cases they (the women) were NOT PREPARED.
Please stay with me for a few minutes as I share with you some serious things to consider when it comes to your personal safety or the safety of those you love.

Would Self Defense Training have helped Her?
Knowing the first “Rule” of Self Defense may have helped!
Ok, let’s take a quick look at the most fundamental RULE of Self Defense.
ALWAYS KNOW YOUR SURROUNDINGS
Tina was walking on a bike trail. Seems safe right?
Even in broad day light with a path that has people normally on it, there are DANGER ZONES.
For example their are always danger zones on on a bike trail and walking to your car. Places where bad guys like to use to ambush their prey.
Common problem areas on bike trials is bends in the trail where the forest comes close to the pavement and BRIDGES – Because it cuts down on the directions you can escape.
Pay very close attention to your surroundings any time that you are walking somewhere and look for AMBUSH spots on your path.
Also, if you like to wear headphones try only using one ear to listen to your music. When both ears are occupied you completely LOSE the ability to use hearing as an awareness tool.
A Few Other BONUS Self Defense for Women Principles That You Need to Know Before Another Day Passes..
The ATTACKERS Mindset
All predator’s whether motivated by money (muggers, street robbers, Home invaders bag snatchers etc.) or sexually (rapists, molesters etc.) follow a common five step plan:
1. Pick a Location to ambush
2. Select a Victim – the most UNAWARE person they can find
3. Carry Out Surveillance on their target
4.Synchronize their Movement with their target
5. Interview/Assault the Victim
The fact that bad guys follow a predictable and clear process helps us to identify when we have been targeted as a possible victim, helping us to remove ourselves from the scenario and avoid an assault.
If we can understand their decision-making process that bad guys use, and their patterns of actions, which most commonly come before an assault- we should be able to avoid becoming the target of a violent assault.
Take a moment to recognize that all women can become a target without even knowing it.
This is the big takeaway – understand predators are out their looking for UNPREPARED targets for their violent acts.
